Time line of the Moorish Science Temple of America Inc.

- 1913; however the initial name for the organization was "The Canaanite Temple", first organized in New Ark, New Jersey

- The Prophet Noble Drew Ali re-organized the temple in the year of 1925 as Moorish Holy Temple of Science of the World.

- 1926 Noble Drew Ali incorporated the temple as a civic organization in the State of Illinois.

- The Home Office / general headquarters was located at 3140 Indiana Ave Chicago, Illinois of which served the 15 Branch Temples in various states throughout the country with temples in Cuba and Mexico that were established by the Prophet also.

- In the year of 1928 the Prophet changed the organization from a civic to a religious organization, and also changed the name of the said entity to Moorish Science Temple of America.

- In 1929 after the Prophet departed from the physical plane the movement was said to be broken up into 3 different factions among other confusion. The repair is on the way.
